Inside is reminiscent of a retro farm kitchen with green vinyl chairs and two oversized chalkboard lists of vegetables on either side of the interior and rows of house-made pickles and preserves atop the bar. The outdoor dining area is a large covered patio bordered by garden beds of rosemary and kale. With rows of string lights, plants and an antique windmill hanging above an arrangement of picnic tables and communal tables - the perfect spot for passing time on a weekend sipping Beet Lemonade and enjoying a stuffed avocado for brunch.
Chef Suki Otsuki has crafted a menu that is contrary to other dining establishments in Dallas, with the emphasis placed on seasonal vegetables rather than brisket or ribs but still incorporating local dairy, ocean raised fish and ethically sourced meats.
